REMOTE
DESIGN RESEARCH

We are a collective of independent researchers and designers. We uncover insights and help our clients actually do something with them.

LEARN, TRY, LEARN SOME MORE.

We don’t progress rigidly through phases.

We shift iteratively between fieldwork, teamwork and design - honing insights, ideas and our approach.

We work at our client's tempo. Our clients hire us for projects measured in hours, days or weeks.

OUR CURIOSITY IS INDUSTRY AGNOSTIC.

Our clients include start-ups and established organizations defining the future of work, publishing, and healthcare.

We’ve worked on the user experience and design of insurance plans, baby monitors, news sites, productivity apps, conferences and patient services.

Craft a unique research approach for your project.
With creative remote-work strategies, we’ll shadow, interview and co-create with your users, whether they are low-vision freshmen navigating college; patients during doctor’s appointments; or homemakers from Jinan to Milan.

Help your team wrap their arms and heads around the findings.
In digital workshops, we will distill our learnings into segmentations, journey maps and network diagrams that your team can base decisions on.

Translate what you learned into what you will do.
So that you can iterate faster, we will make cheap low-fidelity prototypes of services, products and digital experiences.

MAKE THINGS. BETTER.

Research empowers action.
We want to answer the question that will motivate your next decision. We want to arm your team with designs to spur their next step.

In the years since, he has been a freelance researcher conducting in-the-field user and ethnographic research in areas as diverse as food & beverage, health care, toys & games, arts & entertainment, and supply chain management.

MEREDITH ADAMS

SENIOR RESEARCHER

Meredith’s approach to qualitative research and human-centered design is informed by the 7 years she spent at IDEO, first in design research operations and then as a design researcher working in healthcare, education, and social impact. After IDEO, she joined Farfetch, a luxury fashion platform. As a writer, she is particularly interested in how storytelling can shape design and strategy.

AND YOU?
